I miss you so much buddy!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Ros and the boys for their great loss. I will surely miss the wonderful man I lovingly called "Trouble". What a jewel he was – always a smile when he entered the room. Shirley Marble

I will always remember Gil's devotion to Roz – the beautiful flowers and quartet that sang in the lobby of the West Tower. I never heard a bad word come out of his mouth. He was a joy to be around and we will miss him greatly. Rest in peace, Gil.
Gil had the biggest heart in the world-he loved his family so much. I always felt the love and pride he had for his sons. The love Gil and Roz shared together–they also shared with their friends, my family included. I will miss his sweet smile. I thank God for Gil: in life he was my " big brother", -in death he is "an angel" to all of us. Love and prayers to the Hancock family.
Gil will be missed by all who knew him. A good friend and fellow fireman. My heart goes out for his family at this time of your grief. Greg Egnew
I'm not sure there was anyone that met Gil that didn't love him. I loved hearing his story of when he and Ros first met in the Navy and how she "dressed him down" that time! He is truly an angel in Heaven watching over many soles.
