Leland Zeiter's Obituary
ZEITER, LELAND “RED” 88, of Dallas, Texas passed away May 12, 2012. Red is survived by his wife, Lorene, of 65 years; daughter Susan Kennedy (Mike), daughter-in-law Judy Zeiter, brothers: James Zeiter (Mary) and Erwin Zeiter (Sally), sister Shirley Reiley, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Stephen Zeiter and infant daughter Christina Zeiter, a brother Raymond Zeiter, Jr. and two sisters: Margie French and Betty Hilton. Red served in the army during World War II in Germany and France, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism. He returned home to Hillsdale, Michigan where he married and had three children. Red resided and worked there for 15 years. The family moved to Dallas where Red took a position as a machine sales representative for currently, C.J. Harter and Co. After 37 years with the company, he retired. Red was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He had many interests including: fishing, woodworking, model building, playing cards and time spent with his family. Services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 11425 Marsh Ln. on Wednesday, May 16th 2012 at 2:00pm. Visitation will start one hour prior to the services. Burial will immediately follow at Restland Cemetery. The family asks that donations be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
