Lennie Irene York, age 100, was born to parents John Walter Bare and Adelia Sylvia Groves on October 29, 1917 in Kemp, Texas. She passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Mesquite, Texas. Lennie is survived by her daughter, Charlette York of Mesquite; sister, Bonnie Moody; and numerous nieces and nephews She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel. Interment will take place after the funeral service in the Garden of Compassion in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
