Leo Floyd Hickman's Obituary
L.F. Hickman, known by family and friends as Buster, Uncle Buster, or ManMan, died peacefully in his sleep at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Irving,Texas on Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was preceded in death last February by his wife of 76 years, Mary Lee Hickman, and is survived by his daughters, Diana and Melody Hickman, his son-in-law Mike McCauley, and grandchildren Robin Schretter, Jason Miller, Kimberly Hawkland, and Rena Miller, and eight great-grandchildren. Buster served in ‘the Pacific Front in WWII in the United States Navy in the CeeBees, which. later became the Navy Seals. When the war was over, he returned to his home .and family in S. Texas. After working and living in Corpus Christi, Texas, Buster and his family moved to Irving, Texas, where he has lived for the last 55 years .. While living in Elmcroft Assisted Living in Irving, Texas, Buster made many wonderful friends who will also miss him dearly. We would like to thank the staff and residents there for all their kindness. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
