Leo Edward Kane's Obituary
Leo Edward Kane was born August 6, 1926, in Pittsfield Mass, to Leo and Louise Parker Kane. Leo married the love of his life on February 18, 1950, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield. They were married nearly 73 years until the passing of his wife, Jean Fuhlbrigge in 2023.
With so many adventures in life, too many to name, Leo remained a wonderful husband, supportive father and a good son. With his quick wit, and good looks, Leo found himself in the mercantile business for most of his career changing jobs frequently (mostly due to the quick wit ) until he landed in his own business where he remained for the rest of his career.
Leo is survived by his brother, Malcolm Kane, Four children, Candy Carby and husband Gary, Mark Kane and wife Sharon , Cheryl Estes and husband David, Melanie Corley and husband Obie, his grandchildren, Matt, Russell and Andrew Carby, Mark Kane Jr, Kristen Kane Donnell and Adam Gonazalez, Reese, Jackson, Cole and Mallory Dodson Kane-Corley, and his six great grandchildren, McKenna, Lucas, Mason and Joshua Carby, Emmy and Robbie Donnell. Leo was a family man, loved tennis and competitive games. Leo preferred to spend time with his children and wife over life’s pleasures.
He died peacefully on June 6, 2025 just short of his 99 birthday and will be laid to rest in a private family service at Restland Cemetery in Dallas alongside his wife, Jean. We will miss him as we miss our mother.
They were wonderful parents and great role models to all they knew.
