Leon Walker's Obituary
Royce Leon Walker, a lifelong Texan, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Rockwall, Texas, at the age of 98. Born on March 31, 1927, in McKinney, Texas, he was the beloved son of Irene and Clyde Leon Walker. After graduating High School in Omaha Texas, he enlisted in the Marine Corp as World War II was coming to an end. After his military service, he settled in Dallas Texas, where he married Chesoline Banks, and they established their family.
Mr. Walker’s family life bloomed with the birth of a son, Michael Walker, a daughter, Cheryl Blair, and another son, Monty Walker. His life was marked by hard work, enduring values, a commitment to family and service to others. His legacy is one of integrity, resilience, and grace, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his wife after 52 years of marriage.
Royce Leon Walker is survived by his loving wife, Linda Walker, who brought joy and companionship into his life. Together, they shared many cherished memories and supported each other through life's journey.
A Masonic Graveside Service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Immediately following the service, a Celebration of Life reception will take place at the Restland Event Center, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration.
