Leonard Joe Eitel's Obituary
Born on December 24, 1929 in Kirksville, MO and passed away on January 14, 2009 in Fort Worth, TX. He was a member of the McDermott Church of Christ and a former member of Pittman Creek Church of Christ (now Highland Oaks Church of Christ). He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Wanda Eitel; son, Dr. Keith E. Eitel and wife Glenda; two sisters Margaret and Lena; granddaughter Angela Clifton and husband Michael; great-grandchildren Nathan Clifton, Abigail Clifton, and Josiah Clifton; grandson Paul Eitel and wife Lori; great-grandchildren Hayden and Sophie Eitel; Wanda’s daughters Jody Ek and husband Gayne, and Rhonda Ledbetter and husband Danny; Wanda’s grandchildren Gil and Sheryl Ek, Cindy Ek, and Cheri and Ken Rizer; and Wanda’s seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7PM Friday January 16, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 2PM Saturday January 17, 2009 at Highland Oaks Church of Christ, 1815 W. 15th St. Plano, TX 75075. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 8900 John W. Carpenter Fwy Dallas, TX 75247, or Westview Boys Home Hollis, OK.
