Leonard Girard Fields' Obituary
Fields, Leonard Girard – Born November 17, 1947 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Joseph Buice and Anna Belle Fields. He was preceded in death by both parents. Leonard attended school in Johnstown and participated in Football, Judo, and Wrestling. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967 and served until 1969, when he received an honorable discharge. He met Debra J. Fleming Williamson-Bey in the summer of 1970 and after a very short courtship they were married on September 26, 1970. They had a beautiful life together, traveling around the world and living in several states through out the United States. They were married nearly 41 years. To that union they had the honor and privilege to host eight children from all over the world. These eight children have remained a part of their lives since that time. Leonard was an avid fisherman, loved cooking, renovating older homes, gardening, caring for his pets, watching cartoons, snacking and taking care of Deb and his family. Leonard leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life his beloved wife Debra of 41 years, and their eight children Ayumi from Japan, Chico from Dubai, Elvire from France, Iara from Brazil, Jay from Brazil, Nestor from Colombia, Nok from Thailand and Tomo from Japan. He also leaves two grandchildren Leopold, Rachel and two on the way. There are also many other relatives and a host of friends mourning his passing. The memorial celebrating his life is October 2, 2011 at Wilshire Baptist church located at 4316 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX 75414 at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to CreeksideFarmHorseRescue.org. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
