Leonard Krauss' Obituary
Krauss, Leonard, age 92, of Garland, Texas, passed away at The Medical Center of Plano on November 14, 2016. He was born to Rudolph Antony and Emma Lou (Johnson) Krauss on April 18, 1924, in Prosper, Texas. He graduated from Prosper High School in 1941. Len served his country in World War II in both the Naval Air Corps and the Merchant Marines, seeing duty in the South Pacific. His working career was with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T), for 32 years, retiring on February 19, 1979. Leonard is survived by Lois Krauss who was his wife for 13 years and has since remained his best friend for 35 years, her 2 children Steve and Lorie, and granddaughter Allyson. Family survivors include daughter Kathy Standley (husband Richard), and son Kerry Krauss. Leonard is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Lisa Arnone (husband Michael), Brian Standley (wife Dawn), Joe Krauss and Melanie Krauss; 4 great-grandchildren, Carly Arnone, Mia Arnone, Ella Arnone and Richard Ray (Ric) Standley. A private graveside service for the family was held at Restland Memorial Park, and a Memorial Service is to be held at Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland on a date to be determined. Family requests that any memorials be made to charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
