Leonard Christopher Roewe's Obituary
ROEWE, LEONARD CHRISTOPHER born January 6, 1932 in Lindsay, Texas to the late Andrew Herman and Agatha Koerner Roewe and passed away December 25, 2012 at the age of 80 in Garland, Texas. Leonard was the fourth of seven children. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Leonard is preceded in death by his wife Alma Fojtasek Roewe in 2007 and wife Madonna Burger Roewe in 1965; siblings: Andy Roewe, Catherine Hamilton & Henry Roewe. He is survived by his siblings: Frances Burks, Lawrence Roewe and wife Iris, Conrad Roewe and wife Betty; children: Jan Roewe, Barry Roewe and wife Dena, Jill Leber and husband James, Joe Fojtasek and wife Nancy and Yvonne Divine and husband Bruce; grandchildren: Edward Leber, Steven Blankenship, Brian Fojtasek and wife Tiffany and Susan Fojtasek; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Family and friends will be received 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Vitas or another hospice organization or a veteran’s organization.
