LeRoy Bard's Obituary
Born May 18, 1924 in EI Campo, Texas and left this life to be with his Savior on November 20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. LeRoy was a naval veteran of WWII and a retiree of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He is preceded in death by parents Freeman and Florence Bard and Brothers Irving and Marvin Bard. LeRoy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Billie J. Bard; and five children, Charles Bard of Flower Mound, Russell Bard of Carrollton, Kathy McAllister of Dallas, Penny Fortenberry of Mesquite, and Nila Prean of McKinney. He was proud “papa” to five grandchildren, Justin and Jared McAllister, Angela and Allan Bard, Onesha Prean; two great grandsons, Collin McAllister and Brycin Hopson; sister, Vivian Parish of Atlanta, Georgia and her family. Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 411 N. Town East Blvd. Mesquite TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the Wounded Warrior Project.
