Leroy S. Burden's Obituary
Leroy Samuel Burden, Jr. age 76, died on December 15, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Leroy was born on March 22, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Dodie High in McKinney, Texas.
While the public saw Leroy as an amazing person, his family, friends and co-workers also knew Leroy as a kind, loving and selfless man - a “gentle giant” as well as a successful truck driver and car transporter for Five Star Ford. He was hard-working, sharp, and tireless dedicated to the community. His moral compass guided him to devote his time to the church and serving others. Leroy served as a Deacon at Dayspring Bible Fellowship Church in the Colony, Texas for over 12 years, Leroy served as a Servant Leader who was full of humility, servitude, empathy, grace, and kindness. He was willing to give a helping hand whenever needed.
Leroy was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Lee Cameron, and father, Leroy Samuel Burden, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife of 50 years, Brenda Louise Wells Burden and devoted daughter Pamela Oliver, son-in-law Kenny Oliver, and two grandchildren Kayla Oliver and Kenny Oliver, three great grandchildren Za’liyah, Nylah, Jamarico; a loving sister Barbara Ann Anderson, brother-in-law Clifton Wells, and a host of, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The Burden family will receive family and friends during the viewing of the body on Thursday, December 22, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 am in the morning and the service will be held promptly at 10:00 a.m In the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243,
