Les Findley Jr.'s Obituary
FINDLEY, LES, JR. was born on December 05, 1920 in Hillsboro, Texas and passed away on November 4, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, and Hillsboro Junior College. Les also attended SMU. He served in WW II for three years and four months with the Eighth and Ninth Air Forces in U.S and Europe. Les was a member of East Dallas Christian Church, active as Deacon and Elder, serving in positions of responsibility and helping in civic activities such as “Meals On Wheels”, etc. for many years. Member Sanders Class there, serving in various Responsibilities and as a Song Leader. Les was employed with Procter & Gamble Mfg. Co, in Dallas for forty five years. He was also a member of “Men Of Note” barbershop singing chorus of Dallas and Plano for many years. Les helped with various Dallas charitable organizations. He enjoyed the world of square and round dancing in the Dallas area for many years. Les is preceded in death, in recent years by wife, Jeanne and daughter, Judy. He is survived by son, Steve Findley of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren, Eddie Findley and daughter, April of Arlington, Texas; Jennifer Findley of Arlington, Texas; Kelly Findley and wife, Jo Ann and 5 great-grandchildren of Indianapolis, Indiana. Services will be held at 12:30 PM On Friday, November 9, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with Rev. Deborah Morgan Stokes officiating.
