Mr. Lester Gene Elliott's Obituary
Lester Gene Elliott was born on April 13th, 1951 to James and Eloise Elliott in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Ray, and sister, Ruth Alice. Lester left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19th, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Lester was a committed husband, involved father, and trusted friend. He cherished the love of his life, Liz Elliott, wife of 43 years, and deeply loved his two children Jennifer Elise Holt and Brendan Michael Elliott. He adored his three beautiful grandchildren Hunter, Haedyn, and Hudson Holt, as well as his son-in-law, Daylan Holt. Lester loved life and had a positive impact on all he touched. He was selflessly devoted to his work and craft and thought of all his long time customers as family. He worked harder than most to ensure those close to him had every opportunity in life. A truly dedicated and loving father, he instilled his contagious enthusiasm for life and embodied the greatest example of how to love and treasure family. He had an adventurous spirit, eagerly seizing every opportunity to learn something new, help a friend, or leave joy for others. Service will be held on Tuesday August 23rd, at 11 AM at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243. A small gravesite service will be held for close family and those who wish to attend at 2 PM in Van Alstyne, Texas at the Elliott Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
