Lester "Whip" Wilson's Obituary
Lester “Whip” Wilson Wilson, Lester, Ray, age 84, of Garland, Texas passed away on October 8, 2011. He was born on July 8,1927 in Limestone Co., Texas to his parents, Wyatt and Vester. Lester was the oldest of 4. He married Betty in Bryan, Texas on April 10, 1948. They had 4 children. He served in the Navy for 2 years and served in World War II. He was a longtime resident of Garland and Athens, Texas for 50 years and employed by Ford Motor Co. as a Auto Assembly Worker for 30 years. Lester enjoyed Bible study and teaching, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and just being with his family . Lester will be remembered by his loving wife, Betty J. Wilson and their children, Larry Wilson, Glenna Lamb and husband John, Sandra Wilson of Garland TX and Delia Young and husband Steve of Josephine, TX. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Amy & John Natcher, Mark & Elizabeth Robinius, Abigail & Bryan Roose, Becky & Aaron Harper, Carly & Casey Nash, Jennifer Case, Kyle & Jennifer Stevens, Craig & Stefani Stevens, great grandchildren Bergin & Gunner Natcher, Noah, Caleb, & Olivia Stevens, Kyleigh, Michaela & Wilson Stevens, Zoe Roose, William Robinius, Lexington & Berlin Harper, Violet Case and Nolan Nash. He is also survived by brothers Raymond Wilson, Weldon Wilson and sister Joy Harrison. Predeceased in death by grandson Michael Brandon Lamb. Services wil be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
