Mrs Letris Ballard-Dobbins Corley's Obituary
Letris Ballard-Dobbins Corley passed away July 11,2012 in Dallas,Tx. She was 86. She was born in Coleman, Tx to Purvie and Della Ballard on October 21, 1925. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Dobbins; son, Bennie Dobbins; grandson, Bryan Dobbins; brother, Royce Ballard; and sisters, Fredia Exum and Joyce Calloway. She is survived by husband, Robert Clifton Corley whom she married at Lakeside Baptist Church in 2009. Sister, Janelle Lovelace of Dallas and brother, Tony Ballard of Mena Arkansas; daughter- in- law, Joyce Dobbins; grandchildren, Kelly and Joshua Dobbins, and great granddaughter, Olivia Dobbins of Farmersville TX, and 5 nieces and 11 nephews. Letris worked for the government in Ft. Worth during WW II riveting planes like “Rosie the Riveter”, later at Texas Instruments, and retired from Social Security Administration in Dallas. She then volunteered at the White Rock Center of Hope. She has been a faithful member of Lakeside Baptist Church of Dallas since 1974. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, mother in law, sister grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m, Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Funeral services will be at Lakeside Baptist Church, 9150 Garland Rd., Dallas, TX. 75218 on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
