Lewis Monroe Brown's Obituary
BROWN, LEWIS MONROE Age 98, of Dallas, TX passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012 at home. He was born on October 30, 1913 in Bogota, TX to his parents, H.D. Brown and Alice Medie Ward. Lewis was one of 13. He married Ruthie Pike in Dallas, TX on January 10, 1947. They had 2 children. He attended East Texas State University and graduated in 1941 with a degree I n Business Administration. He was in the Army Air Corp for 3 years and served in WWII. He was a longtime resident of Dallas, TX and was employed as an accountant for 50 plus years. Lewis was a member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church since 1956. He enjoyed family, reading, gospel music and traveling. Lewis will be remembered by his loving wife and their children, Craig and Patricia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service for Lewis at 11:30 am, Monday, July 30, 2012 at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, 9810 La Prada, Dallas, TX with visitation 1 hour prior at the church. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at Restland Memorial Park.
