Lewis Bryant Wright's Obituary
Lewis Bryant Wright 86, passed away March 6, 2020 in Garland, Texas. He was born on May 12, 1933 to Alton E. Wright and Carrie E. Lee Wright in McCrory, Arkansas.
Lewis proudly served his nation in the US Army and married Mrs. Kathryn Genoice Lanier on August 9, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He was an employee of Oilwell Supply, a division of United States Steel for over 30 years. After retiring from Oilwell, he was a custodian at Calvary Baptist Church in Garland, Texas for 20 years.
Lewis Wright was first and foremost a faithful servant of God, a wonderful man, salt of the Earth and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Lewis is preceded in death by his parents: Alton E. Wright and Carrie E. Lee Wright, brother, Donald Wright and daughter-in-law, Judith Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Genoice Wright; daughter, Carrie L. Wright of Garland, TX; son, Robert W. Wright of Lone Oak, TX; sisters: Rebecca A. Gray of Dallas, TX, Linda Sue Wright of Arkadelphia, AR and Carolyn Anderson of Nashville, TN; brother, Michael A. Wright of Little Rock, AR., grandchildren: Jeffry P. Jackson (Dawn) and Rachel Kathryn Wright; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
