Lieng Dee Xayaseng Hinson's Obituary
Lieng Xayaseng Hinson, affectionately known as “Yai” and “Dee”, entered into eternal life on September 3rd’, 2015 at Longview, Texas. She leaves behind a large family from Lao, Cambodia and Australia. This includes her two sons, Steven and Christopher, whom she loved with all her heart. In addition to this love, she leaves behind her husband, David. She is the daughter of her Mom and Dad, Mrs. Sounthone and Mr. Heng Xayaseng and sisters to Sieng, Hieng, Noy and Baby. Yai also leaves behind her two big brothers Seng and Ha plus her younger, Hong. Yai was brought to this world along the banks of the Mekong River in southern Laos, on the island of Si Pahn Don. She was raised in the most humbling setting, loving nature and all that was beautiful. Her family then migrated and settled in America during the early 80s. Through the years, she touched many hearts and was an instrumental person in bringing the family together. She was the soul of the family. She loved to travel, had amazing culinary skills, crafty, creative and had an entrepreneurial spirit. Yai is remembered as always being the most beautiful, inside and out. She gave wholeheartedly and never asked for anything in return. When you describe someone as having a heart of gold, hers was made with nothing but that and pure love. As each of us are connected to every person and everything on this earth, we are one divine organism having an infinite spiritual existence. We take solace in knowing that Yai is still with us in the spiritual form looking after and guiding us. Our family is comforted because we know she is with God, we can feel this in our heart and soul. A memorial service will take place this Saturday, September 12th from 10am – 12pm at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas, TX. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
