Lila Villarreal's Obituary
Lila Crook Villarreal, 74, of Dallas, Texas passed away on June 24, 2017 of natural causes. She was born in Dallas, Texas on January 27, 1943, the daughter of Cecil and Ruby Crook. Lila graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas, Texas with the class of 1960. In 1961, she married Thomas Cruz Villarreal, with whom she had three children. Though she was retired at the time of her passing, she had previously worked for Neiman Marcus and Ericsson. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, cooking, and traveling. She is survived by her three children, Thomas Villarreal, Nina Casares, and Sylvia Logan; one son-in-law, Duke Logan; her two grandchildren, Thomas Villarreal and Brittany Casares; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Crook, her mother, Ruby Crook, and her three siblings, Cecil Crook, Reggie Crook, and Eva Crook. A rosary will be held Wednesday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent to Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
