Lillian "Peggy" Clark's Obituary
CLARK, LILLIAN B. Peggy passed away peacefully at her home in Dallas, TX on Oct. 4, 2011. She is survived by her two step-sons, Ian Clark of San Diego, CA and Peter Clark of St. Michaels, MD and their families, as well as by her two nephews, Larry Woollven of San Antonio, TX and Ted Woollven of New Braunfels, TX and their families, and she leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, grand nephews and nieces. Peggy was born in Jonesboro, IL. At an early age, she and her mother Flora May Boyce moved to Pawhuska, OK where she completed grade school and high school. In 1943 Peggy married Dr. Earnest W. Clark, a noted geologist with the Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company. In the ensuing years, they lived in Wichita, KS, New York City (on two separate occasions), Maracaibo, Venezuela, Port Washington, NY, Caracas, Venezuela, and Winter Park, FL, and finally in 1970 they settled in Dallas, TX for the rest of their lives. During her lifetime, Peggy developed many close friendships all over the world, and she diligently remained in contact with them. Peggy will be laid to rest beside Ernest Clark, her beloved husband of 53 years, in the Garden of the Cross at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. A memorial service will be celebrated for Peggy, with internment to follow, on Nov. 5th at 10:00 AM at Restland Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. Tel.972-238-7111.
