Lillian "Susan" Weith McCall's Obituary
Lillian “Susan” Weith McCall was born on February 10, 1934 in Perryville, Missouri, to Louis and Lillian Weith. Susan suddenly passed away on February 14, 2019. Susan, a life long Lutheran, was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband Dale McCall, her son Dale McCall Jr, her daughter Jean McCall Niebel, son-n-law Harold Niebel, and grandchildren Jennifer, Harold, Brendan and David; and sister-in-law Judy Smith. She was preceded by her parents, her sister Louise Weith Thomson, and her brother Louis Weith.Susan grew up in Perryville and after graduating from Perryville High School, she attended and graduated from University of Missouri at Columbia. It was there she met her husband of almost 62 years, Dale. After graduation, Susan worked for IBM and married Dale. They moved to Texas where they started their family in El Paso. In 1968 she moved with her family to Dallas where they have happily lived since. Susan was a dedicated and caring wife to Dale, a great mother to her two children, and a wonderful grandmother to her four grandchildren.Susan played an active role as her husband Dale started his successful business, and continued to provide support as the business thrived. Susan was also an involved member of PEO over the years, holding leadership positions in her chapter. In addition, Susan was a valued member of the Holy Cross and the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church communities.Susan had a natural curiosity and traveled the world with Dale visiting six different continents. Her destinations were often remote locations to visit her daughter and family living abroad. In addition, she loved her dogs and training them, and had a green thumb for house plants.Funeral will be at 11 am on Monday, February 25 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas, with internment services at 2 pm on Tuesday, 26 February at the Dallas/Ft Worth National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7611 Park Lane, Dallas TX 75225.
