Lillie Teakell Barrett's Obituary
January 3, 1921- September 27, 2015 Lillie Teakell Barrett, born January 3, 1921 in Hubbard, Texas to James Madison (Jay) Teakell and Jennie Shaw Teakell. She passed away on September 27,2015. She married Howard Barrett on October 23, 1957. Lillie and Howard were married 45 years and resided in Dallas. Howard died July 14, 2003. During her career in Dallas, Lillie worked for Sears and then the IRS. She was active in several churches in Dallas, most recently at Lakeside Baptist Church and Lake Highland Baptist Church, and volunteered wherever needed. She moved to Waco, Texas in November, 2013 to be near her nephew, Jay Teakell and wife Mary. While in Waco she attended First Baptist Church Woodway, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; and, brothers John Teakell, Marshall Teakell, Joseph Wendel Teakell and Robert Teakell; and, sisters Mildred Nelson and Emma Hall; and, nephew Robert L. Teakell. She is survived by sister-in-law Leta Teakell of Temple, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
