Lilly Marie Davis' Obituary
Lilly passed away unexpectedly as the passenger in a car accident on 02/10/17. She was born on 12/05/00 in Dallas, Texas to Jon and Lisa Davis. She was the second of four fabulous daughters. Lilly was so beautiful inside and out. A true girlie girl through and through but with a toughness and confidence that was off the charts. Her love of life, fun, family and friends was immeasurable. Her smile so big, bright, beautiful and welcoming to all. Her charm, wit and sense of humor bigger than the state of Texas. Lilly loved being pampered by her Mom with bringing her lunch to school (mostly Chick Fil A), Starbucks runs (very berry hibiscus-fizzed), smoothie stops (strawberry/banana), shopping trips for fashion emergencies, braiding her hair until it met her standards and pretty much whatever else her heart desired. She loved to push her Dad’s buttons and had so much fun making jokes at his expense. Dad loved every minute of it. They also enjoyed Texas Rangers games together, camping trips and even trips to the mall where Lilly would trick Dad into walking around Victoria’s Secret looking for her as she sits outside laughing. She loved wearing all three of her sister’s clothes and shoes – her motto was what is mine is mine and what is yours is mine too! Blocking her older sister on Instagram to hide her unapproved usage of clothing was a common tactic. She was the leader of fun improvised games, dances and teacher to her two younger sisters. They pretty much did whatever Lilly said. Everyone pretty much did what Lilly said. They did it because there was fun behind what she said. Always. Lilly was a very serious student with her eye on a very bright future. She was a member of National Junior Honor Society in Middle School and National Honor Society at Shepton. She took all Pre-AP and AP classes. She especially enjoyed her WHAP class this year! She always knew what she wanted and how to get there. Getting in her way was not to be recommended. You needed to let Lilly run with her dreams because they were always focused and important. She was also a very competitive athlete. She played softball, basketball, volleyball, track and cross country in elementary and middle school. She was an Iron Woman at Frankford Middle school in 7th and 8th grade because she played all four sports seasons. Her Mom coached her to many winning seasons of PSA volleyball. That is how she discovered her true passion for volleyball and began playing Club volleyball in 8th grade with Force VBC and the Knights VBC in 9th and 10th grade. She also played volleyball in 9th and 10th grade at Shepton High School. She was an awesome setter and all around player! Lilly was a dynamic, lightning bolt of a girl. She never doubted her abilities to handle anything and had no reason to do so since she always had a plan. She was beautiful and always willing to challenge herself. The world lost a Game Changer. It will never be the same to those that knew and loved her. Lilly lives on through her Mom, Dad, three sisters – Annabelle, Gracie and Felicity. Her Papa, Grammy, Uncle Todd and many other family members and friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church. 5231 Meadowcreek Drive, Dallas, TX 75248. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
