Lina H. Chase's Obituary
Lina H. Chase, age 97 passed peacefully early Thursday Nov. 28, at her home with family by her side. Born on December 13, 1921 in Shellsburg, Iowa to Lester L. and Lillian R. Holmes. Lina was one of 13 siblings. Lina worked 20+ years for Collins Radio as a line technician starting in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and transferred to Richardson in 1960 were she retired at the age of 77.Lina was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother and a friend to many. Lina was proud to be part of the ladies sewing group at the Poetry Methodist Church where they made items to donate to the Childrens Hospital and nursing homes. She leaves behind two daughters, Kathlene Kassel and Joanne Culver, granddaughter Kim Churchwell, grandson Russell Monk, sisters, Ruthie Dietz from Marion, Iowa and Minnie Bullock from Vinton, Iowa , brother Lester L. Holmes Jr. from Las Vegas, NV., 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by husband Norman W Chase, her parents Lester and Lillian Holmes, sisters Emma Brotzman, Mary Ross, Helen Long, brothers, Chester Holmes, Andy Holmes, Edward Holmes and granddaughter Sherri Fuggett.Memorial services will be at the Rockwall United Methodist Church 1200 E. Yellow Jacket Lane Rockwall, Texas 75087 at 11:00 A.M.
