I will miss you Lina dear, I so enjoyed our time together ,our German luncheons will never be the same again ,as so many other things. But I am comforted to know that we will meet again . May our heavenly Father watch over your Scott and your family .
We will miss Lina everyday but especially on Friday evenings.Regards,
I loved Lina! She made me laugh and always said something positive to me. I hope I look as good and am as feisty as her when I am 83! I will miss her dearly.
Lina was a most wonderful neighbor and friend. She was interested in all the neighborhood offspring, remembered all their names and always asked about them. She liked people of all ages and knew most people in the neighborhood. I liked seeing her out my kitchen window as she made her daily walk to the park. Memories I will always have of Lina include Scott’s and her attendance at neighborhood offspring weddings, stating her opinions at the neighborhood “Friday Night Services,” joining us for our “Easter/Norooz/Passover/Spring Birthdays and All Other Rites of Spring” annual potluck dinner, as well as July 4th, Annual Crime Watch Night Out and Christmas gatherings. She and Scott attended Crowley Park Neighborhood Socials. We had a great time at her 8oth birthday party. Lina told interesting stories about growing up in Germany during WWII. She was tiny and could/did wear cute clothes. She told me the importance of good/attractive shoes, a good haircut and that she enjoyed being vain, as easily as she also talked about her long term heart problems and her preparedness for death. She had spunk and was fun to be around. In her German accent, she encouraged me to, “Enjoy life!” and that’s what I will remember to do.
We have been friends for many years, many good times & laughs together. She always looked her best. She always be a fashionista.affectionately, Elfriede
