Linda was such an inspiration to so many. She was a power house, who knew how to get things done and was admired by many. Though it hurts to lose such a wonderful friend, we are happy that she is now with our Lord, Jesus Christ and is healed.
It was chance I read this obituary but I am glad I did. Mrs. Brownlee was my second grade teacher at George R. Bean in Lubbock, TX. I believe she married during the school year because we began school calling her Miss Roberts. She was my favorite teacher and it was through her I learned to have confidence in my abilities. This lesson has served me well throughout the years and I am forever grateful. She was a fantastic teacher, an encourager and the most beautiful teacher in the school inside and out. I never saw her again but her belief in me was such an inspiration that I became a teacher. I only regret not being able to share this with her personally, however, I extend my condolences to all of her family. She touched many lives and will not be forgotten. Janie Pena

Linda and I braved Tech together as freshmen roommates . She influnced me positively to become a Kappa. Our lives went in different directions, but I shall always remember her fondly. I always thought there would be time to "catch up". Once more she charged boldly ahead of me. A wonderful woman!
