Linda Farris Bryant's Obituary
Linda Farris Bryant was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Lovingly known as "Mother B" to her grandchildren, she leaves a legacy of faith, kindness, and deep devotion to her family
Born March 11, 1943, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Juanita Farris, Linda first nurtured her love of creativity during high school while working in a fabric shop alongside her future mother-in-law, Mrs. Ludie Bryant, an early thread in a life that would be beautifully woven with family and creativity. After graduating from Norman High School, she carried her passion to the University of Oklahoma, where she studied Fashion Design.
Linda was exceptionally creative, bringing beauty to everything she touched, whether sewing, designing, or doing intricate needlework, often working without a pattern and guided purely by her instinct and eye for detail. She gave generously of her time to her church, her children's and grandchildren's schools, and her community. A devoted member of Lake Highlands Women's League for nearly 40 years, she served quietly and faithfully, always putting others first.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Farris. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her son, Graham Bryant (Ellen); her daughter, Heather Haskins (Bill); and her four grandchildren:
Caroline Hammond (Joey), Catherine Bryant (fiancé Edward Neyman), William Haskins (Macy), Cullen Bryant, her great-grandson Jefferson Hammond and her brother Ken Farris, jr.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ellis Chapel at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://Alz.org), Lake Highlands Women's League memorial fund (https://LHWL.org then, select Donate), or Park Cities Baptist Church (https://PCBC.org/give).
