Linda Carney's Obituary
Linda Noland Carney was born January 21, 1941 in Hereford, Texas and passed away December 19, 2020 in Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her father, John Burton Noland; her mother, Veda Beatrice Noland; her husband, Robert M. Carney; her son, Steven Corey Higgins; and her son-in-law Stephen Linder. She is survived by her siblings, Jerre Shultz of Sudan, TX; and Larry Noland of Amarillo, TX; her daughter, Jennifer Linder of Mayfield, KY; and her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Lisa Higgins of Lubbock, TX; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carney was a long-standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star and named Worthy Matron of the James A. Smith Chapter of Farmer’s Branch, Texas. She was also very involved for many years with the Special Olympics of Texas. Mrs. Carney will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert M. Carney, on January 04th, 2021, at a graveside service for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Linda N.
