Linda Estes Carrington, 70 of Richardson, Texas was born to Ambrose and Elena Estes on November 10, 1946, in Vicksburg, Mississippi and passed away on September 10, 2017, in Richardson, Texas.She married Jack Carrington on June 20, 1968, in Vicksburg Mississippi. Linda had many hats, she started her career off as a teacher, later on moving to sales, software and ending in research with Texas A & M University.Linda had a passion for helping abused and neglected children and was appointed by current Collin County Commissioner Cheryl Williams to the Child Protective Services Board where she was elected by her peers as Secretary. She was also instrumental in raising funds to help ensure children in foster care had all the necessary comforts of life which brought her great joy seeing their smiling faces.Linda had also been heavily involved with Conner Harrington Republican Women’s Club. In this time Linda served as Scholarship Chairman for the Gladys Harrington and Dixie Clem Scholarships and as well served two terms as Hospitality Chairman. Linda worked tirelessly in many campaigns advocating her candidate in the elections.
