Dr. Franklin, Dr. Donna and other family members -
What a myriad of good works your wife and Mother demonstrated! An amazing example for her children and friends. I'm very fond of the work done at Hope Cottage and her service for those with disabilities is quite touching to me inasmuch as I have an 11 year old special needs granddaughter. No one will EVER KNOW the joy she helped bring to countless children and their families because of her work with Sesame Street. It is VERY CLEAR to me that He had a plan for her life and she will be richly rewarded.
What a blessing to have a Mom and Dad exemplify the role of a loving wife and husband AND Mother and Father! I can definitely relate to her love for family gatherings and her enjoyment in cooking. WHAT A BLESSING THAT SHE SHARED THAT TALENT BY BAKING SO MANY RUM CAKES that brought smiles to MANY.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord...they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." Revelation 14:13
Dr. Franklin, I am deeply saddened by your loss and I'm praying for you and your family.
Dr. Donna, I see HER in YOU! My heart aches for all of you!
I won't be able to attend the service because I work on Thursdays. Just know I am there in spirit and I will be praying that ALL of you will be wrapped in a warm blanket of love as you share so many happy memories of your wife and Mother.
"If our eyes had no tears
Our soul would have no rainbow."
May you fully feel the presence of God in those sometimes unseen, often under-appreciated anchors -- the ones who give you enough to see you through each day and may you find joy in being the same for someone else.
With love and deep sympathy,
Paulette Travis
