Linda Manuela Cheek's Obituary
Manuela “Linda” Cheek, 87, was born in Buda, Texas and passed away peacefully at her home in Garland the morning of Tuesday, April 26, 2011 surrounded by her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona her father Crispin and two brothers, Frankie and Ralph. She is survived by her loving husband James R. Cheek, daughters Dora and Linda, three step-sons Danny, Michael and Terry, and siblings Lucy Mejia, Lena Valverde, Maria Martinez, Tony Herrera (wife Gloria), Beatrice Wills (husband Mike), Rachel Soto (husband Joe), Art Herrera and Al Herrera as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A devout Christian, Linda was a member of Crestview Assembly of God church during the latter part of her life. Her greatest love was to be with her family, and now she is with her family in heaven. Visitation at Restland Funeral Home will be Friday April 29, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and services will be at Restland Chapel Saturday April 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Internment to be at Restland Reflections Park. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to a hospice facility of your choice.
