Ms Linda Burke DeSola's Obituary
Linda B. de Sola, beloved wife, mother, friend, and teacher peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 31st, 2022. She will rejoice to once again be reunited with her husband and life-long partner, Charles de Sola within our Father’s heavenly embrace. She was surrounded by family whom she committed herself to passionately and loyally. She was wife to Charles de Sola for 53 years; father to Joseph and Julie; mother-in-law to Bobbi ; grandmother to Joshua, Jordyn, Andrew and Nicholas; grandmother-in-law to Stephanie; great grandmother to Allen and Lukas. Linda was sister to Barbara Lambert, Terry Burke and Carol Burke; sister-in-law to Vic Lambert, Beverly Burke; aunt to Melissa and Mark Baumann, Carrie and Royce Slechta, Steve and Linda Lambert, Lisa and Marc Fowler.
Linda lived her life simply and her greatest joy, outside of family, was the hundreds of students’ lives she touched over the course of 40+ years of teaching. She lived in Plano for most of her life and supported her community and schools with her dedication and devotion to teaching. Most weekends she could be seen, as a season ticket holder to Plano Senior High Football, in the stands with her family supporting her Wildcats and greeting students and friends.
Linda had a generous and nurturing heart and always looked to others before looking to herself. Linda’s family will cherish her memory and all the wonderful times spent with family and trips to Lake Kiowa, East Texas, and Houston visiting the de Sola’s. Linda’s family would like to thank all the family, friends and caregivers for their generous and giving support during the last couple of months when Linda’s health began to fail.
