Linda Gail Dodson Real's Obituary
Linda Gail Dodson Real was born October 10, 1954 in Dallas, Texas and passed away February 7, 2019 in Irving, Texas. Linda grew up in Irving, Texas and graduated from MacArthur High School and attended North Texas State University. She was married and divorced in her twenties and never had any children. Linda was employed by the accounting firm of Ernst and Young for over 20 years and then with Holly Corporation, an oil and gas firm in Dallas. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2007. Linda loved her family so much and especially her nieces and nephews. She loved to play with them, take them to the park, go on long walks, to the movies, and to Sonic to get slushes. Linda was a very kind hearted person. She always wanted to help everyone. She would give you the last penny she had if you needed it. She was preceded in death by her father Robert G. Dodson. She is survived by her mother Carla Lee Dodson, two sisters Carlotta Franklin (husband Steve), Kristi Mikez (husband George), two brothers Robert Dodson, Jr. (wife Sherry), Paul Dodson (wife Nancy). She also had two nieces Michele Mulcahy and Carleeanna Hoover. There are six nephews Bryan Dodson, Tim Dodson, Cole Dodson, Carter Dodson, Caden Dodson, and Tom Hoover, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation (alzfdn.org) in her memory. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, located at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX, 75243.
