Linda Lou Dohm's Obituary
Linda Lou Dohm passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2022 in Covington, Louisiana. She was born to Dale Oliver Turner and Marcella Mary Turner on August 10th, 1942 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in law Jessica and David Walter LaBrie of Dallas, Texas, son Joseph (J.T.) Dohm of Covington, Louisiana, grandsons Turner and Schaefer LaBrie, and nieces Kellie Isaac and Susie Mulheron.
Linda graduated Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1964 and taught elementary education in the State of Texas for over 38 years in Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Midlothian, and Rockport, TX. Linda accomplished her dreams of both living on the ocean, and following her retirement, living abroad in Paris, France before returning to Norfolk, Virginia to be near her beloved family.
Linda’s love of life and free spirit will be greatly missed by her family and the countless lives she touched throughout her professional career and friendships. Linda was an avid reader, writer, world traveler, lover of animals and of all things found in nature.
A private family celebration of life service will be held at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 10:00 on Friday July 29th, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Norfolk, VA SPCA.
