Linda Evans Gillard's Obituary
A collector of angel sculptures and ornaments, Linda Sue Evans Gillard became one herself in Heaven above, on April 20, 2023, passing peacefully in her home at the age of 76.
Linda was born in Dallas and grew up in Highland Park. She attended Sam Houston State University where she met her husband of more than 55 years, James Paul Gillard. She spent the majority of her career in banking; however, her real passion was the beauty industry. Throughout the years, she represented Avon, Vivianne Woodard and finally Mary Kay, which suited her perfectly as she adored the color pink.
Living a life of service to her family and faith, she cared deeply for others and was cherished by her family, friends, and clients. She’ll be remembered for her warm hugs, infectious laugh, and delicious cooking. As a proud homemaker, she loved welcoming others into her home and tending to those in her care.
In Heaven, she is reunited with her husband James, brother Tom Evans, and parents Horace and Cleo Evans. She is survived by her daughters Kim Freeman, Kathy Bull, son-in-law Russell Bull, and son Paul Gillard; grandchildren Ben and Chelsea Thompson, Andrew Freeman, and Molly Freeman; great-grandchildren Eisley, Johnny Evans, and pending new arrival due in May; along with many beloved sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Linda made a lasting impression on those who knew her and will be deeply missed. Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home - Wildwood Chapel in Dallas on Tuesday, May 2, with visitation at 1pm and services beginning at 2pm. All are welcome to join her celebration of life!
