It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Linda Dell Howell, who left us on August 18, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on August 14, 1939, to Cecil Odell Taylor and Reedy Leann Lewis, Linda lived a life full of love, dedication, and warmth.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Kenneth Neil Howell, son Kenneth Neil Howell, Jr, and her two brothers, Jerry Cecil Taylor and David Lee Taylor. Linda is survived by her daughters Laura Smith and husband David of Dallas, Lisa Sherrod and husband Tim of McKinney and daughter-in-law Trish Howell of Sachse.
Linda’s family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Linda’s legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Jana, Nicole, Samantha, Collin, Brittney, and Katelyn and 10 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her extended family includes many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She chose to raise her children in lieu of work, later working in finance at the City of Garland and Chase Bank. Linda enjoyed having breakfast with her friends, painting, and knitting blankets for her grandchildren.
