Linda Knox's Obituary
Linda Joyce Knox entered into the joyous presence of our Lord on January 19th, 2025, at the age of 79, after a 5-year battle with dementia.
Linda was born in Dallas, TX, on July 29th, 1945, and grew up in Lakewood. As a child she sang, danced ballet, and was crowned May Queen at the age of 10. At 20, she married Richard Terrill, and they had two children, Les and Julie, with whom she held very close relationships all her life. Linda was a loving and devoted mother. Her affection, unconditional love, and faith in the Lord has forever blessed not only her children and grandchildren, but everyone who knew her.
“An excellent woman, who can find?” (Proverbs 31.) Her life, providentially interwoven with those she loved and served, irrevocably lingers in memories of her family and friends as an image of the merciful kindness, abundant provision, and steadfast love of Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Her life demonstrated the greatest commandment of all: “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Luke 10:27) Linda lived that commandment with joy and eagerness. She, truly, was an excellent woman.
Linda is survived by her brother, Mark, and his wife Debbie; her son, Les, and his wife Monica; her daughter, Julie, and her husband Dan; grandchildren Zoe (Richard), Olivia (Alzavian), Noah (Amber), Tatum, and Luke; great-grandchild Mateo, and two more great-grandsons debuting later this year.
For years to come, those Linda loved and who loved her will sip dark roast coffee, admire sunrises, and spend early mornings in worship. We will don fabulous accessories; serve elegant meals; love friends, family, and dogs; arrange flowers; pen books; raise babies; take road trips; praise the Lord; and eat lots of bread and butter (is there such a thing as too much butter??). And through life, we will move forward with this elegant, excellent woman forever close in our minds and in our hearts until we are reunited with her in Glory.
