Linda Joy Leipziger's Obituary
Linda Joy Leipziger. March 19, 2024
Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and “Sissy” Zweig; dear sister to Elaine Zweig of Richardson, TX, Leigh Zweig of Richardson, TX, and Barry Zweig (Annalee) of Dallas, TX; dear Aunt of Elizabeth Sutker (Michael), Jonathan Boski (Tori), Janet Altom (Billy), Melissa Berk (David) and Brian Zweig (Brandy); dear great aunt to Landon and Madison Sutker, Barron and Goldie Boski, Shayna and Hanna Berk, and Ella and Carson Zweig; dear aunt, cousin, and friend.
Also known as “Aunt Doe,” Linda was a master baker. Her mondel bread, streudel at weddings, and chocolate chip banana bread were the best! Linda’s sense of humor kept her family entertained and amused for hours. Her love of reading and music endeared her to the fine arts. She could hold a conversation with anyone (sometimes too long) and was very passionate about politics, daily news, and mental illness! Mostly, she would do anything for her family. She adored her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Shiva service will be held on Monday, March 25 in Dallas, Texas. Memorial contributions are preferred to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at nami.org/Home.
