I was so sorry to learn of Gene's death. I did not realize she had gotten that sick. We got closer when we were helping her with Odell. I know how hard it is to give up your mother. We just lost Bill's mother on Tuesday and buried her yesterday in Fort Worth. We will not be able to make the funeral on Monday. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you. We love you, Darlene and Bill.
I will never forget the kindness and love that Gene showed to me. Danny Dale and I both had the flu, and just like the loving grandmother she was, she put us both in the bed with some vitamin C, and loaded up all 5 of our kiddos and took them home. She and Pappaw kept the kids while we recovered.We will miss her more than any words can convey..but She will always be in our hearts until we meet again in our Fathers house…..We love you Grandma Gene
