Linda Carol Foote Lunday's Obituary
Linda Carol Foote Lunday, born on December 24,1943 in Dallas. She went to be her Lord in Heaven on January 15, 2023. She was a lifetime Baptist and at the time of her death, was a member of River Rock Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, TN. On April 6, 1952 (Easter Sunday) Linda was baptized by her Pastor, Dr. Wallace Bassett at Cliff Temple Baptist Church, in Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX).
Linda was born to the late Edgar Levin Foote and Vivian Roberson Foote.
During her life, she touched the hearts of her children, grandchildren, her great-grandsons, and many other family and friends that she had the chance to love. She was a true servant of God and an angel sent from Heaven. She married Joseph Stanley Lunday on September 10, 1965, at First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff by the Rev. James Cooper.
Linda graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School, in 1961, then went on to receive a double associate degree from Richland Community College in 1999. From there she attended Texas A & M -- Commerce in 2002 to receive her bachelor's degree. In 2008, she graduated from Kansas State University with her master's degree.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Edgar L. and Vivian Foote; husband, Joseph Stanley Lunday; infant-sister, Mary Ann Foote and her godmother, Mrs. Jack "Audie" McCord.
Linda is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Stephen Lunday, James Edward Foote-Lunday and Gerald Alan (Debi) Lunday; grandchildren, Adrienne Michelle Slusser, Justin Stephen Lunday, Faith Elizabeth Register, Garrett Bryce Lunday and Grant Christian Lunday; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Landen, River, Lake and Henry; dearest cousins, Mrs. Gayle Spencer Peterson and Mrs. Joyce Foote Sims and her loving cousins.
Linda, was very active with Rutherford Co. Master's Gardener from 2013 to 2022.
