Linda Bieker McCormack, 85 of Allen Texas, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Mckinney, Texas. Linda was born April 25, 1940, in Hammond, Indiana.
Linda was a strong, independent, and brilliant woman whose vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. Known for her sharp wit and gift for storytelling, she left rooms filled with laughter. Born and raised in La Feria, Texas, Linda was the only girl in a family of boys, whom she loved dearly. She met her husband, Kent, at the University of Texas at Austin, where a lifelong partnership—and a shared passion for Longhorn football—began. They were devoted UT Longhorn season ticket holders for decades—Linda’s blood truly ran burnt orange.
Linda earned a master’s degree in economics and went on to become an adjunct
professor, teaching both micro and macroeconomics. She enjoyed antique shopping and had a cherished collection of dolls. Linda enjoyed playing bridge with friends. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
She passed down her wit and wisdom to her grandchildren, who will forever treasure the lessons and love she shared with them.
