Linda Ann Ribble's Obituary
Linda Ann Ribble of Dallas, TX passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at the age of 66. She was born Feb. 23, 1950 to James Ralph Ribble and Bennena (Sally) Shrode Ribble in Dallas, TX. Linda graduated from Bryan Adams High School, Dallas, TX in 1968, and was very active in the drama club. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, TX where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1972. She completed her CPA certification in September 1985 and worked as an auditor for several insurance companies before opening her own business in April 1997. She had a passion for music from a young age which was influenced by her daddy’s participation in Barbershop performances. She continued the family tradition of singing and/or directing in various Sweet Adeline Choruses and Quartets. While a member of the Sweet Adelines’ Chorus “The Rich Tones”, they won two International competition medals in 1992 and 1995. In 2005, Linda moved to St. Croix, Virgin Islands to start a new life adventure where she worked as the CFO at the St. Croix Marina. As much as the island life suited her lifestyle, Linda decided to move back to Texas in 2015 to be near her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father, James Ralph Ribble. Linda is survived by her Mother, Bennena (Sally), Sister Sherry Willis and Husband Randy of Richardson, TX, Nephew Kelly Willis and his Wife Leslie of Dallas, TX, Niece Tammi Willis of Plano, TX, Nephew Kevin Willis of Richardson, TX, Great Niece Kristen Willis of Dallas, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Restland Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
