Lisa White Arden's Obituary
Lisa White Arden or Lolly as she was known to all went home to be with our heavenly father in the early morning hours of July 2nd after a long battle with chronic illness.
Born Mary Lisa White to John Keirnan and Anna Elizabeth she grew up in the prominent Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas with brothers John Keirnan and James Daniel. Her family were devout Catholics and were members of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic church.
She went on to study at Bishop Lynch high-school and received a degree in graphic arts at Kilgore College where she also met some of her best lifelong friends. She was employed by such publications as The Dallas Observer and Las Colinas People but her most notable and enjoyable employment was teaching graphic art design at Northlake College.
She was married for 33 years to husband Cozby Engle who brought her stepson Hiram Engle into her life. They were married on Halloween 1991 at a festive in-costume celebration where she was a vampire and he was her victim. Needless to say, they enjoyed a fun filled and colorful union together.
She was a self proclaimed hippie and insisted that all reusables be recycled. She had an infectious love for life and people that anyone around her was sure to feel.
Sean Michael White was her favorite and son to brother Danny that she reunited with in heaven. She is survived by brother John Keirnan and 5 nieces as well as husband Cozby and stepson Hiram. A celebration of life will be held at Freeman Heights Baptist Church and a date and time will be announced on her Facebook wall for anyone interested in attending.
