Lisa Lin's Obituary
Lisa Lin (formerly Martha Elizabeth “Liz” McClellan) died peacefully on May 11, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was 81 years old.
Ms. Lin was born to Anna Belle and Roy McClellan in Waco, TX on Feb 11, 1942. She lived in Texas into early adulthood, then briefly moved to New York, and eventually relocated to California in the late 1960’s where she lived the majority of her life. She moved back to Waco in 2019 to spend her final years in her hometown.
Ms. Lin loved music and enjoyed singing and playing piano. She was an aspiring lyricist in the 1970’s and worked as a legal assistant in Los Angeles for several attorneys until she retired in 2015.
She had a strong love for animals throughout her life. She loved to ride horses and was a pet “mom” to numerous dogs and cats over the years.
She is survived by her son, Jim Grady and daughter-in-law, Shelly Casillas-Grady of Nampa, ID; her daughter, Angela Grady of Mill Valley, CA; her two grandchildren, Alex Naqvi (23) and Caitlin Naqvi (21); her stepbrother George Williams and stepsister Barbara Armstrong, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. And of course, by her two beloved dogs, Chloe and Chelsea, who now reside with her son.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 11:00am in the Wildwood Chapel. Located within the cemetery at Restland Memorial Park - 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite animal welfare organization in her honor.
Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
