Lisa Anne Potts' Obituary
Lisa Potts of Dallas, Texas went to be with her Father in Heaven on September 7, 2024 at the age of 69. Born in Plainview, Texas and the daughter of Wanda and Jerry Harder, Lisa graduated from Texas Tech University and dedicated her life to the service of others as wife, mother, grandmother, relative, friend, and teacher.
She was married to Randy Potts for 42 wonderful years, and together they raised two sons Brennan and Barry Potts. Lisa was close with her family and even more cherished as a grandmother, lovingly known as “Lolli” to Presley, Cooper, Hampton, Carter and Brayden. She also loved her daughters-in-law Kelly and Jenna Potts, as if they were her own. Lisa leaves behind her beloved sister Martha McKay and older brother Mike and his wife Sharon Harder, both in Lubbock, Texas.
Her family and Christian faith were the center of her world. Lisa was known for her kindness, inner strength, and ability to make people feel loved. She served as a middle school teacher for over 20 years, primarily at Trinity Christian Academy, where she touched many lives in a positive way.
Her favorite things to do were traveling with her family, playing with her grandchildren, decorating her home, finding new recipes, watching old movies, snuggling with her dogs, and celebrating each holiday – especially Christmas. She will be missed by many but leaves behind an inspiring legacy for her family and friends.
A memorial service honoring Lisa’s life will be held on September 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. In lieu of any flowers, the family suggests donations to Trinity Christian Academy Student Tuition Aid.
