Liz, you were the best special sister. We had fun together and took care of the folks even when we laughed. The memories of sitting at one end of the table talking; one of our last meals was making plans for the four of us to go to DWorld for an adult trip (to make up for the trip in 2000. I’m sorry that never happened. You were an amazing fighter and a super daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. I will always cherish our relationship. You are a blessing.💝
Liz was a beloved founder of the Georgetown Ecumenical Wholeness Services. https://wholeness-service.org. When I first arrived to serve there, I recall Liz setting up the room, carefully lighting all of the candles and preparing the space. She would say that she believed she was welcoming the Spirit of Christ Jesus as she filled the chapel with candlelight. Liz served as our intercessor for awhile, and she personally prayed over every candle that was brought to her by a member of the congregation. We were devastated when she received her diagnosis, but she stayed with us for the rest of her life. Online, on Zoom, and at the end of every livestream, we knew we were praying with Liz. We will miss you, Liz, and we honor your memory now and always.
