Lloyd Wayne Curtis' Obituary
Lloyd Wayne Curtis, 82 of Frisco, Texas was born on September 18, 1937 in Crow, Texas to Perry Curtis and Gladys Curtis and passed away on December 16, 2019. He was married to Brenda Curtis on June 23, 1989 in Dallas, Texas.
Lloyd will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband, loving father, distinguished businessman, and a man who always helped others. He was a strong and charitable man who had a great sense of humor and loved life.
He had the Midas touch when it came to all things business. He worked at Sears for 35 ½ years, owned a liquor store, muffler shop, carpet installation business and 2 daycare centers.
His interests included watching a good game of Texas Rangers Baseball, reading a good western novel, and spending time with family and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by Perry Curtis, Gladys Curtis, Lewis Curtis and JM Tucker. Lloyd will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 30 years, Brenda Curtis, by his siblings Mildred Slemmons, and Donald Curtis, by his children, Kerry Curtis (Vicki), Karen Laarits, Karla Seebold (Albert Soliz), and by his step-children Sandy Friesenhahn, Christie Dragoslavic (Sam). Lloyd will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jason Curtis (Christy), Justin Curtis (Reilly), Frank Laarits II (Molly), Jesse Laarits, Brian Laarits, Ashley Cruz (Henry), Lauren Friesenhahn, Kaitlyn Dragoslavic, Kyrsten Dragoslavic, and great grandchildren Cayley Curtis, Whitney Curtis, Kallie Curtis, Koda Curtis, Vincent Cruz, and Tucker Cruz. Lloyd will also be forever remembered by his extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX. A Funeral Service in memory of Lloyd will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Restland Serenity Cemetery. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Lloyd to the American Heart Association.
