Lloyd Andrew Houston's Obituary
Lloyd Andrew Houston, of Rockwall, TX passed away February 24, 2024, at the age of 98. He was born on November 3, 1925, in Dallas, Texas to Odis and Dora Houston.
Lloyd was always known as being a sharp dresser and clean shaven. Even during his sickest days with lung cancer, he would wear a starched shirt and jeans and the jeans had to have a crease! Lloyd married his childhood sweetheart Hazel Hogue Houston in 1943, and they were married until her death in 2006. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, and he was also a member of Roy Stanley Lodge 1367, Dallas Scottish Rite and Hella Shrine. In 2018 he earned his 50 years of service as a Master Mason.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hazel Hogue Houston, parents, Odis and Dora Houston, twin brother, Boyd Houston, and sister Hazel McGuffey.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Carol Houston, daughters, Cathy Houston Allen and husband Larry of Plano, TX, Sherry Littlejohn and husband Mark of Rockwall, TX, granddaughters, Amy Allen-Spillers and husband David of McKinney, TX, Christy Beasley and husband John of Northville, MI, Casey Birkins and husband Andrew of Prosper, TX, Jamey Marett and husband Chad of Fate, TX, Meagan Zaloudik of Oklahoma City, OK, great grandchildren, Andy Beasley, Dylan Beasley, Austin Birkins, Cal Birkins, Houston Marett and Izabelle Zaloudik, sisters, Lavella Smith of Dallas, TX and Nancy Stateler of Dallas, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
