I've had more than my share of good fortune in my life. Knowing Lloyd Humphries and his family is a prime example. Lloyd gave me a job when I had zero experience in the Home Furnishings industry and patiently taught me what i needed to do to be successful. He is the most honest and loyal employer I have ever had...and a man of the highest integrity. With Lloyd, I never had to check my commission statement because I knew it would be accurate, and also on-time. RIP sir.
I just always had such a respect for Lloyd. He was so “into” his business and just really knew the meaning of hard work. He loved his family and wanted them to be happy . He loved being busy and set a great example for his kids. I didn’t know him as well as many people did, but I know Gary , his son, and Leslie very well. Such wonderful people. I know that the fact that he raised Gary tells me so much about Lloyd. Truly kind and also hard working, with a great sense of humor. He will be missed but lived a life he can be forever proud of.

My condolences to the entire family. Lloyd was a great sales manager. I always enjoyed his sales meetings the best since he always started off with a prayer. He kept trying to get me to move to Texas and work as part of his group. I have many fond memories of our Markets together Rest In Peace. God Bless.

To the entire Humphries family we send our condolences. Lloyd set a great example of how to run a successful family business with love, honesty, integrity and a sense of humor. We sought Lloyd’s advice when we were deciding to open a showroom in Atlanta. “Set a budget and be prepared to double it. That is what it will actually cost!” He was so right. What an honor to have known Lloyd, shared ice cream with he and Tommie and grew in the industry with Gary and Terry. Grace and peace.

Ken Taylor asked me to give your family his condolences. He remembers sitting with Lloyd in the hall and solving so many business challenges. I remember Lloyd guiding me in my early days as a buyer when I bought wooden lamps from him. In 1975 I think. We both remember his kindness.
